Reserve Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

It's time for my #FridayCabernetfix.

Inky in color with a short reddish rim.

Fruity nose and full bodied with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing blackberries, black currants, cooked plums, cedar, tobacco leaf, vanilla, light earth, herbs, spices, cola, chocolates, coffee, peppercorn, licorice and pencil lead.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and cherries.

This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Rich and extracted. Tangy and elegant.

Nicely balanced with a soft mouthfeel, and good by itself as a sipping wine.

Good right out of the bottle, and better after 2 hours of airtime.

Drinking much better now than when I had it three years ago.

This 10 year old is peaking now, and will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 years.

A blend of 85% Cabernet, 8% Petit Verdot and 7% Malbec. Aged in (93% new) French Oak barrels for 20 months.

14.9% alcohol by volume.

93 points.

$180.

Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2022

Pale lemon color with pronounced aromas of citrus and floral spice, aged for a short period in neutral French oak. On the palate flavors of citrus, pineapple, pear and honeysuckle, slightly creamy. Medium+ finish, good balance ending with fruit and flinty mineral character. Enjoy with nice Seared Sesame Ahi Tuna. — 24 days ago

Dutton Ranch Rusasian River Valley Pinot Noir 2022

First Titus Pinot for me and very pleasant surprise. Being used to 'bigger' wines by this vintner, very sound expression of Russian River — a year ago

Chappellet

Mountain Cuvée Proprietor's Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2017

Had this 6 mos ago at Tasting, liked it, bought several bottles for cellar. Blend of Cab Sauv, Cab Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot & Malbec, made by 30 year Chappellet winemaker Phillip Titus. Deep Ruby, purple edges, youthful aromas of black fruit, spices and flinty notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry and black cherry with some vanilla and tobacco and herbal floral notes. Vivid acidity & firm tight tannins with long finish ending with a youthful character, aging well should benefit from bottle aging. — 5 years ago

Napa Valley Malbec 2021

A medley of red fruits, raspberry, dark cherry with a touch of vanilla and distant toasty notes. Very silky and smooth. Most of the olfactory notes concours with the palate. Generous and powerful tannins. Simply delicious! — 5 months ago

500 Chevaux is an automobile racing term; French for “500 horsepower.” Nellcôte founder and vintner Tyler Olbres is an avid car-racing fan, and has himself driven in the Monaco Rallye for Classic Cars. This wine is a high-horsepower Cabernet, meant to be sleek, powerful, and fully able to go the distance.
LAST BOTTLE Notes,

Nellcote was an uber-pricey luxury Cab that recently closed its doors, and, after extensive tasting through all the brilliant, incredibly fine-tuned Cabernets early last year, that none other than Phillip Titus (yep, THAT Phillip Titus, the legend behind CHAPPELLET and others!) made,
