This wine lives up to its name. Big, rich wine. Delightfully compliments and enhances food spices. Enjoyed with roasted duck with pomegranate and Turkish spice glaze. — 9 months ago
Very delicious wine. A bit peppery — 9 months ago

Soft cherry and red fruits. Strong oak. Smooth and good with barbecue lamb. — 9 months ago
Bright and refreshing rose - California by way of Portuguese grapes. Red berries (currant, raspberry) and short-ish but clean finish. Great deal at $15/bottle. Nice with manchego and duck prosciutto. — a year ago
Super velvety, light to medium body but still very plump. Very long finish. Would drink! — a year ago
Savoury, refreshing, sour. Love her wines. — a year ago
This wine is an example that price has nothing to do with quality. Lots of fruity sweetness balanced with acidity, and with vanilla and tobacco. — 4 years ago
Thick, chewy, full bodied Douro, heavy taste of black cherry and slightly smoky. — 8 months ago
Deep purple color fading to black in the center of the glass. Floral nose with spices and black fruits and a hint of smoke. Black cherries with plums and spices laced with a hint of vanilla. Well integrated oak announcing tannins that have arrived to maturity. The tasting notes for 2023 were very accurate as to where this vintage was heading and I’m glad I have 2 more bottles. Next one will be served with the lamb or dry aged prime rib this wine deserves. — 8 months ago
Ok could be better but nice for the price — a year ago
Drank with Susan in Braga. Quite lovely. — a year ago
Very tasty aged Portuguese red. If I had it blind, I would guess Northern Spanish - Ribera del Duero or Rioja. Smooth and slightly musty/earthy from the age (got some cork crumbles). Opens pretty quickly, with concentrated red fruit and some blackberry. Pleasant tannic grip with a soft texture. Bold flavor throughout, big body (14.5% abv), some pepper and dry grass on a savory finish. Nice for a reasonable price. — a year ago
In beautiful shape, better than I remember the last bottle being. Dried red and black fruits, dry dusty tannins, forest floor, dried porcini mushroom and old leather umami nodes, cedar, dried herbs. Did I mention it’s dry? But it’s a beautiful wine, the flavor profile exudes sun baked warmth but the alcohol clocks in at less than 12% so it doesn’t fatigue the palate — 3 years ago

Sunday night random. Why not. Had some venison meatballs and a salad with it. Good stuff. Potent, but had no idea it was 16%. — 5 months ago
