Enjoyed it immensely with our grilled ribeye steak! Perfect pairing. The steak elevates the wine significantly. Dark fruit with fully integrated smooth tannins in this 10 year old wine. It has this green pea, olive note to it that I presume comes from the Carmenere that I personally don’t care for too much. Macerated cherry, spice, cigar box, Mediterranean herbs, all come alive in this exceptional field blend of native varieties on Tenerife’s volcanic soils: Táganan, named for the area, from Spanish superstars Envínate. Intensely perfumed, it’s a stunning, elegant red with tremendous clarity and precision, clean and bright with great structure. The finish is long, with saturated sour cherry and a kiss of vanilla. Immaculate stuff, memorable. Decanting essential.
