I am always amazed at how good these old martini wines can be. This wasn’t just good for its age, it was just good. 
Great color/still sweet on the mouth/nice finish.

The Voerzio Capalot/Brunate 01 (mag) was the third WOTN for me. A perfect Voerzio expression. Hell of a nose and intensity/concentration. Much fresher and more vivid than a 09 I had last weekend. 01 seems to rock here again. Bright red stone fruit, dark roses and flowers, coffee bean, some mocha, tarry irony minerals. Excellent wine.

Would have never guessed it was 25 years old.

After some time in decanter and in the glass - it began to show some tertiary and real balsamic notes

But this wine really paired well with risotto. It cut the richness without overpowering and provided some solid fruit and tannin

Hint of peppermint on the nose rolls back to reveal wormwood and roses, chocolate ganache, rhubarb, and dried grapefruit peel. Velvety and complex, with peppercorn, red apple peel, cinnamon dust, dried rose petal, dried violet, and roobios tea.

The Monte Rosso was outstanding in every way- expressive nose of dark red fruits and layers that touched all parts of the palate. The flavors complimented a wonderful dinner. 8 years and still getting better. 100 year old vines that show how good Zinfandel can be when grown and tended to reveal their sense of place. This charming wine is keeping me company while I bake tonight. User reviews are all over the place, but in my humble opinion, this 2022 is very good. A light bodied Neb, with bright juicy fruit, bitter but pleasant floral, and a tasteful kiss of oak which lends some depth. Good holiday wine.
