A vibrant lemon color in the glass. On the nose a powerful yet elegant deep lemon, tangerine and other mixed citrus, white and yellow flowers, lemon blossom, jasmine. On the palate the most beautiful tangerine, lemon and yuzu citrus. The most impressive, however, is the finish. Incredibly long, and evolves to a dried lemon/citrus rind that is very unique. I wonder with age if this dried character will become more in the forefront, which makes me very excited to revisit in 3-5 years. Outlasts many GG quality wines, and many times for me when Riesling has a lengthy finish there seems to be some phenolic bitterness, but this wine is pure. Magnum purchased at the winery. Rested 9 weeks at home. Stunning balance for an ultra hot vintage. While showcased by the crystalline quartzite (sea stone personality in an area of thin slate) the wine is still driven by the pure harmony of tartaric acid, European delicacy of yellow apple, pear, quince, hay flavors and the light kiss of Czechian oak. Super confectionary nose with apricot, kumquat, peach and more. Unreal minerals which is like a rock dust perfume. Really aromatic and wide open on the nose. Palate is so 21. Grippy and intense with rock candy like minerals and terrific peach and apricot fruit and some white cherries. This has fantastic structure and density. This will easily last 25+ years. Unreal concentration and such aggressive and unforgiving minerality which I am here for. This needs time to open up but what a fantastic wine. Wow after a a few hours this picks up major density. Awesome fruit and length. 9.6 now. — 3 months ago

Nose is elegant tropical flowers. WOW. A hint of finely crushed minerals.

Palate is peach and apricot nectar. So clean. So perfect. Mountain stream. Perfect acidic balance.
