Cantina Terlan

Tradition Alto Adige Pinot Bianco 2022

This wine has a pale yellow color with a greenish tint. The nose is amazing, full of minerality and salinity, with citrus, apple, and pear notes. The palate is loaded with minerals, too, and that beautiful, salty flavor. The acidity is invigorating, and the finish is lengthy. The winery suggests pairing with a wide variety of foods, including seafood, scampi, salads, even spaghetti carbonara. I had mine with a chicken salad sandwich, and again with some Rancho Gordo beans and rice. It was a great fit both ways. — 12 days ago

Domaine Rolet

Tradition Arbois Poulsard-Trousseau Blend 2022

Delectable Wine
8.9

A blend of 40% Poulsard, 30% Pinot Noir and 30% Trousseau, the 2022 Rouge Arbois Tradition displays bright red fruits alongside spicy elements. Subtle herbaceous accents add complexity, attributable to the use of approximately 20% stems from the Pinot Noir and Trousseau during fermentation. Concentrated and savory, the 2022 is neatly framed by ripe tannins and can be enjoyed over the next four years. (Nicolas Greinacher, Vinous, August 2024)

Bosquet des Papes

Cuvée Tradition Châteauneuf-du-Pape Grenache Blend 2022

Reddish in color with medium intensity

Fruity nose and medium in body with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate and complex.

Showing raspberries, cherries, spices, light oak ,chocolates and peppercorn.

Long finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.

This young Grenache blend from Châteauneuf-du-Pape is starting to drink nicely, but needs 5 years in the bottle to mature properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 15 years.

Showing good structure and very spicy.

Good right out of the bottle and better with airtime.

Good by itself as a sipping wine.

A blend of 75% Grenache, 12% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre and 3% of local grapes. Aged for 18 months in large French oak barrels.

15% alcohol by volume.

90 points.

$40.

Domaine de Roally

Tradition Viré-Clessé Chardonnay 2021

2024 spring / summer. Yellow gold color. Round, fleshy, lots of sweet citrus and some stone fruit, a touch of residual sugar and no oak - this is my first time with Thevenet-Quintaine but understand this is the typical style. An interesting change of pace — 10 months ago

Domaine du Gour de Chaulé

Cuvée Tradition Gigondas Grenache 2006

2006. Purchased a couple bottles at a Rosenthal wine dinner in 2014. Drank the first one in 2018 and really enjoyed it. Popped and poured this bottle to go with Pakistani Lamb Kebabs. Paired well, but was really only offering the savory side of its flavor profile. Two hours after dinner, the wine opened up and more tart red fruits filled in. Doesn’t really have the aged characteristics of an 18 year old wine. — 4 months ago
