Nice light red slightly chilled. Hotel Esencia. Last night. With chateaubriand for two with mashed potatoes and French fries and creamed spinach — 20 days ago
The ripe black fruit core is lifted by perfumed nose and lively acidity. Silky palate with fine grained tannins, but 15.7% abv does make its present felt on the long finish.
Quite a good value for what is considered the flagship wine by the winery. — 23 days ago
Dark fruits, oak, and herbs combine in this zin forward red blend. Great upon opening and excellent day 2. Not familiar with Mataro (only 5%) but blended to perfection. — a month ago
2/2025. #24 on WS Top 100 2024. A nice medium bodied Zin. Paired well with my grilled pork chops. — 2 months ago
Young but the apotheosis of Dry Creek. Such depth and purity of Zin fruit (spicy black raspberry) and dry gravelly earth on the nose. Deep, fruity, but composed and minerally at the same time on the palate. A little clenched on the finish because yes I’m drinking it too young. But the stuffing, balance, and structure are there for many years development. I love these guys’ Zins. — a month ago

This wine has it all. Leather and incense, lovely and dry on the tongue. Some fruit, but it is buried, so it's not cloying at all. Perfect with pretty much anything from shrimp to steak and pork.
It's a perfect Friday night, on a date... or in a ditch alone. — a day ago
