Really great sparkler. Tons of acid and some tropical fruit, citrus, tart green apples really shine, but just enough body to give it some balance. This is clearly all about the acidity though. I could see how some would not enjoy that part of this wine. — 4 years ago
Opaque ruby red. Moderately dry, acid low. 14% alcohol. Easy going tannins. Light warm baking spices. Violets and dark bitter chocolate. Dark berries. Mild black coffee. Balanced.

Delightful. Lovely light golden straw colors with just the right amount of fizz. Notes of pear, apple and citrus. — 5 years ago
Fruit forward aromas of ripe blackberries, same on the palate with a medium oaky body and baking spice and peppery tannins. Very balanced and wanting red meat! — 3 years ago

This is the single vineyard “Le Mesnil” edition of the vintage Caudalies. De Sousa is so underrated. Nose is lush AF. Tropical fruit. Palate is angular, needs time to come together. Fantastic balance & complexity. Serious shit. — 20 days ago
