75 Gropello. Prickly fresh....hints of citrus and strawberry, lovely texture on the cheeks. Literally mouth watering. Body grows fuller on the finish. An excellent example of "the wine of one night." — 9 years ago
Strawberry, cherry, cranberry, raspberry, watermelon and hints of peach. Great acidity and balance. — 7 years ago
Oily and viscous golden wine; the smell is like sticking your nose in a bouquet of perfumed lillies and roses - quite striking; and on the palate it is opulent, fairly high in acidity for the region, and had a mile-long finish with tropical fruits. Had with sushi! — 7 years ago
Deep garnet. Aromatic, floral, red fruit. Violet, spice, sage, thyme and bacon fat. M- acid, m body and soft round tannin. Still has lots of structure. Black fruit, saline and baking spices. If tasted blind, I would never call it a 2001. It still has a lot of time left. Fantastic! — 9 years ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Pale straw with stone fruit and floral aromas. Small bubbles with sweet peach and grapefruit tastes, a bit too sweet, missing a balance between fruit and crispness. Just ok but better ones out there. Tasting Sample. — 6 years ago
