Golden in color.

Nose of apples, yeast, spices, bread, minerals, salt water, citrus, limes, barnyard and earth.

Medium plus in body with high acidity.

Very dry on the palate with limes, lemons, green apples, earth, minerals, toast, wet leaves, herbs, vegetables, nuts, yeast, sea salt and white pepper.

Crisp and refreshing. Yeasty and interesting.

This is a nicely aged Champagne from a great vintage. Showing lots of complexity now.

Feels very young for a 20 year old, and will continue to age nicely in the next decade.

Robert Parker 97 points. Wine Enthusiasts 96 points.

I had the Brut Reserve Non Vintage not too long ago, and I liked it better.

Good by itself or with food. I paired it with fresh oysters.

A blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay. Disgorged in 2015.

12.5% alcohol by volume.

Been thinking about this since first trying it months ago (and forgetting to tag). Thanks to our good friends for brining to a big, red sauce dinner out. Dark, with strong iodine and dried fruit on nose. Dried fruit and herb, with the longest, fine grained tannic finish I can remember. Perfect decanted and with a veal chop. Nose has toffee, lemon zest, yellow apple peel, muddled lemon and orange blossom.

Palate has vanilla, fresh yellow apple, lemon candy, steely notes, sliced almonds with medium acidity and finish.

1st foray into Oregon Pinot. This vintage showing a huge stamp of bramble on the nose🍓🍓🍓 Tons of strawberry and rhubarb pie. Beautiful garnet light Ruby in color. Delish right now out of the bottle. Not a ton of tannin and acidity. Very lush at 14% — 2 years ago

Very contemporary Italian stallion.
Sweet oak and hints of forest floor on the nose. Palate presents bright cherries and mature raspberries. Complex, layered, moderate tannins and absolutely impeccable. By the glass at Kesté, NYC. — 2 years ago

The nose shows tar, cedar, oak, vanilla, coffee, black currant, raspberries, blackberries... This is very complex and it keeps expanding and evolving with air. Magic!
The palate is superb too, there is a massive acid backbone that powers a majestic palate that shows black currant and mocha notes. Great width, superb, silky mouthfeel with a bit of a thick, suple layer, then the palate expands into what could be described as a sphere and tannins kick in leaving a dusty layer that tends to dry up the mouthfeel. The finish is extremely long with black currant and mocha notes and that drying layer. This is a great wine tasting experience. 10 years and kicking! It could hold for another 10 without any problem I reckon. — 2 years ago
