Rose et Or Côtes de Provence Rosé Blend 2021

Absolutely delicious summer afternoon in a glass. Fruity and smooth, could drink a whole bottle. Enjoyed in Tallinn with Jonny, Wilson, and Duke. — 2 years ago

Nickel & Nickel

C.C. Ranch Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

100% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 18 months in French oak, 48% new, deep Ruby with aromas of berry fruits, cigar box, lavender and eucalyptus scents. On the palate flavors of black cherry, plum and currants with cacao, floral and minty notes. Fine dusty tannins, long finish ending with fruit, — 2 years ago

Colgin Cellars

Tychson Hill Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

It’s been a long day…couple of days actually. I’ve been lucky to get some buffalo loin and this beautiful wine from Colgin to pair. Deep dark fruits, dark chocolate and espresso. The winemaker describes the 2017 vintage as having a sense of clarity and purity, something we could all use a little more of these days. — 2 years ago

Emrich-Schönleber

Halenberg GG Riesling 2020

German kings! Both with outstanding clarity and detail; the wine with some reduction, lime, pineapple, marzipan, rubber, herbs, shortcake, and a long finish; the Brinkmann with perfect tempo, weight and room-filling perspective. — 2 years ago

Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier

Clos de la Maréchale Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2007

This has really developed since my last btl showing sweet red fruits, lots of spice, earth, mineral & rose petal. Another great 07 that hit the spot. — 2 years ago

Tenuta Greppo (Biondi-Santi)

Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2019

Annata Biondi-Santi. This is absolutely delicious. Always special from this producer. Love the color. Classic Sangiovese. Orange rimmed next to the pale red. Balanced between some grippy but delicate tannins and approachable fruit. The nose has some spice and some earth but they don’t bring a kick so much as depth. The bottom line is you can tell it’s great because the wine drinks so fast! — 2 years ago

Sager & Verdier

Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc 2020

This is a very tasty Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley.

Lighter on the nose and dry on the palate, with medium plus acidity.

Showing limes, citrus, green apples, grapefruits, light earth and white pepper.

Showing nice complexity with a soft mouthfeel. Juicy and entertaining.

Better on the palate and simpler the nose.

Nicely balanced, crisp and refreshing, and good by itself or with food. A good party wine too.

I paired it with fresh oysters.

91 points.

12.5% alcohol by volume.

$27.

815 California Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Color of dark purple, look dense. Nose of ripe dark fruits, some milky chocolate, some aldehyde, some spice, some more blackberry and cherry jam, and a bit oaky. Nose is pretty good. Taste follows the nose, with dominant currant and ripe grapes, plus oak, refined tannins, and subtle acidity, a bit peppery spice, lots of flavors and tasty. Aftertaste is also quite long and clean. Just a bit too sweet for me. But a good one. — 2 years ago
