Because if you’re gonna drive all the way to Colorado, you might as well bring some wine with you, right? Steaks on the grill and this glassful of dusty earth, cherries, sandalwood and leather. Needs air, like a lot of Sangiovese, but after an hour it begins really singing. — 3 years ago
And so it happened that after 30 years or so since I started to fel in love with wine the wife says: “I think it’s time I learned more about wine”. Even when you thought live is not longer capable to surprise you, it does🤣 so after finishing a bottle of Gloria ‘06 we opened a bottle Pontet Canet ‘06 and the education started. And with a little help of the internet we kicked of, meanwhile swapped the full bottle into a empty bottle 🤪 so now we find another reason to drink some wine, let there be rock!! — 3 years ago
This is a delicious red blend from Washington State. Showing blackberries, coffee, chocolates, vanilla, cedar, earth, light vegetables, licorice, spices and tobacco leaf.
Full bodied with medium acidity. Dry on the palate and very fruity.
Nicely balanced with a great mouthfeel and nice complexity.
Good right out of the bottle and better with airtime. After 90 minutes of airtime, tannins comes out.
Tangy and rich. Spicy and interesting.
Feels like a mix of Bordeaux and a Napa blend. Very interesting and tasty.
Would age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.
A blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Syrah and 12% Petit Verdot.
14.9% alcohol by volume.
92 points.
