Expected to like this more than I did... it's got some ripe fruit juiciness and light tannins, as one might expect of a bottle from this appellation at this price point. The nose is a tad earthy and toasty but on the palette, it's simpler and woodier (hehe, she said wood) than I thought it would be. Much tastier with a slice of foot-stinky cheese. This is one of those few (and I do mean few) wines where it tastes better with #coravin than #uncorked With Coravin it has a lovely bouquet full of white flowers, citrus and hints of oak. Uncorked it just gets all acidic and looses the delicate complexity. Still, that being said...it is one of the better white #Rioja that I have tried and I’ve tried plenty. Out of the #coravin the front of the palate is a bit off putting in acidity & throws the whole thing off but this seems like it could balance out with some baked cherry & rhubarb flavors with time in bottle or decant 45 mins — 10 years ago
