Apple cider vinegar, cloud burst, 00 pizza flour. Slight funk $35 waves. — a year ago
While not in the same league as the legendary 2000, 2006 is showing well after sufficient air (3 hour decant), but still incredibly youthful and even a bit rustic with noticeable tannins. This is not an elegant vintage, but rather immensely structured, dense and dark fruited with Rhône-esque camphor and bacon, coffee beans and black tea. I’d give this several more years for the tannins to soften and palate to integrate but I’m not sure this will reach the heights of 02 and 00. — 2 months ago
Late to post but too good not to post. 00 VGR (Very Good Red) - This wine was stunning. Like a walk on the beach in the early morning kind of stunning. 00 was founded by Chris and Kathryn Herman. This Willamette Valley duo is producing some really beautiful wines. If you have not tried their wines, you need to move them to the top of your list. The 2019 VGR was complex, alluring, silky, and everything else you want from a really nice Pinot. The vineyards that made up this wine included: Shea, Stardance, Eola-Amity Hills (a secret vineyard), Hyland Vineyard, and Chehaleam Mountain Vineyard. I see this one getting better with age, but no reason to not enjoy it now.

Side by side with the 00 Cheval Blanc. Showed really well! Took 1.5 hrs in decanter/glass to really show its stripes. — 3 years ago
SPEC TA CU LAR! Here you feel the absolute majesty of a wine who can be promoted to at least 2nd growth. Cedar, camphor, eucalyptus, butterscotch/4 spices, yellow curry. I’ve always loved ‘00 in Pauillac has I think it’s the last great of the classic style. Definitely this bottling is a keeper. — 5 months ago
Stunningly good at 22 years old. Deep and dense. Soil’y with aromas of black currant and bittersweet chocolate. I’ve been enjoying a lot of 00-05 medoc wines lately. While not mind blowing they are wonderful all alone or with the right food. Shows what a $30 bottle from a great terroir / producer is capable of. Not every wine needs to cost hundreds of dollars to be enjoyable — 3 years ago

This is one th e the top Chards for me this month...and I spent a week in Burgundy. So balanced yet so fresh. Creamy luscious freshness. Nose just opens up to lemon, persimmon, spice, and ginger. Mouthfeel is so full and satisfying. Lemon drops with such mouthwateringly rounded acidity. Creamy, buttery goodness with a spice kick. 00 is kote like a 95. — a month ago
