Some of the most delicious grapes are for this part of Italy. — a month ago
A Sangiovese driven wine with a delightful vivid ruby red with notable violet hues. On the nose is highly persistent in the fruity and spicy notes.
The one is already in its prime time, well-balanced between acidity, and approachable tannins. Tends to be a bit fruitier with some red berry compote with a juicy mouthfeel and moderate finish, which makes it savory as the spices shows on back-end of the palate as well. Cheers! — a month ago
Picked this up on Philly, to drink on our room, but ended up having it with the Fonduta. Delicious. Light. Spicy and smooth. — a month ago

This wine is made primarily from Sangiovese grapes, offering vibrant red fruit flavors, balanced tannins, and a delicate finish that showcases the family's dedication to quality and legacy in the region as they have been crafting wine for 600+ years.
On the nose the fruity notes are prominent yet well balanced by subtle touch of violets and vanilla. On the palate, this wine is remarkably balanced and characterized by some striking aromas of strawberries and ripe cherries. As a mouthfeel, medium-bodied and remains on the tart side with a very long smooth finish. I pizza and red sauces pastas wine. — 7 hours ago
Open faced, crisp with a light finish. — 10 days ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of several hours and this gained momentum as the minutes rolled by. The 2016 “San Valentino” pours a deep garnet color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe black and red fruits: black berries, black plum, Morello cherry, spiced meat, old wood, varnish, cumin and dry earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long, tangy and slightly savory. These are showing very well at this stage and I don’t expect that to change for many years to come. Drink now with patience (perhaps even a 30min decant) and through 2036. — a month ago

Dark ruby color with purple highlights. Extremely savory aromas and flavors of dried black cherries, bramble berries, cedar wood, violets, bakers chocolate and fresh herbs. Long finish and high level of acidity. Quite fresh tasting, rich and brooding. Very rustic and juicy, but not overly tannic. Excellent value. — 19 days ago
