Revisiting this wine at home after tasting at the winery. Ruby coloration with some transparency. On the nose, cherry, red berries, currants, some earthiness and minerals. On the palate, medium, lighter body, cherry, red berry, cola, earthiness, minerality/graphite and strong and long finish of minerality and graphite. Good tannins present. A very different and surprising red. I didn’t expect to like it but it is a refreshing and very drinkable red on this hot summer day in Florida. — 20 hours ago

Welcome Ciliegiolo from Umbria- a unicorn varietal. Dark crimson color, crushed red fruits & cassis on nose; on palate medium plus acidity, medium body, a gorgeous texture- fine grained tannins, so some grip. Blackberries & black currant fruit. Really, really good. — 3 years ago
