Vineyard sits on Willakenzie soils in the heart of the Yamhill Carlton AVA. Ruby red color with aromas of red and black fruits and spice, aged for 10 months in French oak. On the palate flavors of black cherry and raspberry with tobacco, herbs and earthy tones. Full-bodied, fine tannins, balanced, medium finish ending with big earthy spice notes. Nice now! Paired with ratatouille and polenta. This wine was surprisingly complex. Aromas of tart strawberry and white peach has hints of floral and minerality. Taste is a delicate white peach tea with a splash of strawberry/raspberry quickly removed with a balanced tannin. This wine was great and paired amazingly with the food (as I would expect).
