Tenuta San Guido

Bolgheri Sassicaia Cabernet Sauvignon Cabernet Franc 2011

Our (not so) little (anymore) princess her birthday so time for our yearly 2011. After having rated two previous bottles not as high as you would expect this one actually delivered. Very elegant, in balance and clearly at peak. Quite some years ahead — 2 days ago

Far Niente Winery

Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon 2010

Cork came out perfect.

Blasted it with wine2pro for some oxygen and then it really became expressive within about 30 mins.

Good grip and dark structure. Showed some savory notes

Fruit came later on as it mellowed with more airtime. Little blueberry and some black fruits.

Austin Hope

Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Really nice California Cab. Drinks lighter than the ABV. Tannins smooth and well integrated already. Black fruit, tar, licorice, ample vanilla oakiness that mellows out a little with time. Relatively accessible, relatively affordable, eminently enjoyable — 3 months ago

I think this is a great Cali Cab, and it was greater a couple years ago when I was paying $35 for it 😄

Caymus Vineyards

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

1L. Not my style. Ok over all. Juicy and big, chocolate overtures. Dark berries, mostly sweet blackberries, tastes pretty stemy but i assume this has no stems. Chassis. 14.2%. — 5 days ago

Big Table Farm

Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2017

Reddish in color with light intensity.

Medium bodied with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing raspberries, sweet strawberries, cherish, earth, light wood, spices, dark chocolates, herbs and black pepper.

This 8 year old Pinot Noir from Oregon is drinking very nicely now. Complex and interesting. Feels like a lightly aged Burgundy.

Good right out of the bottle, and gets earthier as it opens. Will continue to drink nicely in the next few years.

I had a few vintages of this wine and it is very consistent.

Elegant and good by itself or with food.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

$45.

Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2007

Bit volatile day one, all business day two. Big Xmas spice, feather light feel. Beware the bottle variation. — 10 days ago

Château Palmer

Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend 2005

2 hour decant(little fine sediment). A splendid dark magenta with some bricking. On the nose: subdued but enticing notes of blackberry, cassis, cigar wrapper, clove, pine, maybe a touch of brett. Taste: silky, still youthful at 20 wine with blackberry, red fruit, graphite, spice, and a medium smokey licorice tar finish. YUM..good but expecting more for the year..will wait a few years for next attempt. — 2 months ago

@Rob Brobst III Sounds fun! Pick em carefully...as Andrew said, some drinking well, while others need more time even at age 20. Cheers!

Mollydooker Wines

The Boxer Shiraz 2011

Deep, dark Ruby color with a fruity nose and tons of ripe berries with oaky notes. Jammy big and bold blackberry flavors with some spice, cacao, cedar and leather notes with nice mouthfeel. Big fine tannins with berry fruit carried over to the finish with oak and sweet spice. Nice! — 3 months ago
