The label was soiled when I received the order. I was immediately concerned regarding the contents. Happily, the wine was in pristine nick. Forest floor and cinnamon nose transitioned to the signature gnarly, textured dark fruit, smoke, and spice box presentation. I’m going to hold some of these Astons and see what happens. Funny story about this wine. Was submerged in water for a few days, but the water temp was 54F. Wax capsule was pink, not red. Popped and the cork shattered. But after a decant. Here came the legend. Awesome fruit, dried herbs, balanced acidity. Last one I had...for now. Stay thirsty my friends. 🍷 — 5 years ago
