Needed a moment to breathe. Super smooth— went great with grilled venison blackstrap — 4 years ago
What a great Temp! It really reminded me a strong West Texas Tempranillo. It paired well with Antelope blackstrap. — 7 years ago
100% Petite Sirah
The 2012 Tlo Reserve Petite Sirah has aromas of black cherry and dusty cocoa powder, vanilla and earthy minerality. Smell hints of cardamom and light cedar with a touch of freshly baked piecrust. Tlo’s first ever reserve wine, the Petite Sirah, has an inky rich red hue and excellent acidity with intense, rich juiciness, luscious raspberry and ripe plum. This incredibly savory wine is very well balanced with huge, round tannins, soft smokiness and a lasting finish of blackstrap molasses and dark chocolate.

Dark purple garnet in the glass. Nose of plum, molasses, and cocoa. Medium full body, medium tannins, medium acidity. Palate of juicy plum, cobbler crust, blackstrap molasses, hints, clove. Medium short finish. Still some time left, too. This is one of the eastern greats. Enjoyable as a "sipper" but especially with hearty foods. Another triumph by Anthony Vietri! — 9 years ago

Very smooth, almost like Pinot noir — 3 years ago
Intense amber/ruby color. Pronounced aromas and flavors of jammy fruit, caramel, blackstrap molasses, figs, spices, nuts and oak. Full, rich and concentrated in the mouth with quite a long, smooth and creamy finish. Beautifully complex. — 3 years ago
Extremely surprised by the 15 year old budget Syrah! Dark ruby with loads of blackberry, black cherry, pepper and Provençal herbs. Dried black cherry, blackstrap molasses, leather, tobacco and ripe plum round out the palate. The finish is long and vibrant with subtle oak and fine tannins. One of the better 15yo wines I have pulled in some time! — 6 years ago
Glad we waited until 2018 to open this 2010. Probably should have waited another 5 yrs or so. Sweet elagic tannins a bit overly pronounced, but just starting to integrate. For the coldest vintage we’ve had in the NW in decades, this shows ripe yet restrained character, chalky cocoa tannins, brambley black raspberry, cassis, blackstrap molasses, pipe tobacco, hint of anise. I can only imagine the hangtime for 14.8% abv in 2010, but it didn’t stick out and added to the structure. One of the best Sineann wines I’ve tasted. — 8 years ago
Blackstrap berries, softly raisinated, with some nice food-scrubbing acidity. — 9 years ago
Yet one more vintage of one of my go to Yolo County wine. Color is pretty. Dark red with a hint of rust on the edge of the wine. Smells like books, wet gravel and pomegranate molasses. (& maybe blackstrap molasses too). Flavors of chalk, elderberry/cherry syrup, unlit cigar, and herbs. Something slightly musky here. More of the French than the low cost Argentine style in this. This is a unique and lovely CA wine. All French wine lovers should try it. — 3 years ago
Treacle, blackstrap molasses, tar, dark chocolate, pipe tobacco, black raisin, medjool dates, myrrh, ganache, opium-coffee, and ginseng scented. Amorphous mouthfeel, runs from thick and round to acid-buoyed on the end of a floral stalk. Dark brown sugar without the sweet, fig, clove, allspice, a little Nuóć Mam, toffee, cinnamon, nutmeg and gingerbread. This is mouthcoating breakfast fare begging for luxardo cherries or lingonberries, spicy sausage, rye toast, and smoky paprika. Gotta give it to the civet! — 7 years ago
Birch, castoria, blackstrap molasses, Demerara brûlée, forest underbrush. Mature but still vigorous; long, clean and impeccably balanced. One of the finest Santenays I’ve ever tasted. #bernardmorey #santenay #pinotnoir — 8 years ago
Fruit and syrup nose. Flavors are nice. Blackberry, black cherry, tobacco, olive, blackstrap molasses. And intense full wine. — 9 years ago

Heirloom apples cofermented in a New England style with molasses, raisins and Juneberries (Servis) a traditional berry foraged in the PNW by indigenous people. Golden brown, excellent clarity, 9.2% alc/vol. off dry. Molasses note in nose, Raisin note in mouth, malic finish. Interesting as a traditional style, I like it more some days than others, strangely. — 5 months ago
