Deep Ruby with aromas of ripe red/black fruits with herbs, toast and sweet spice, aged for 24 months in American oak. On the palate flavors of ripe black cherry flavors with vanilla, oak and cacao notes, nice acidity balance with soft ripe tannins. Long finish ending with subtle fruit, tobacco, vanilla and toasty oak, drinking very well now! Still has room to age, but I think it’s great now. — 5 years ago
This was black as my soul. Seriously. So much suspended particulates. Still very good — 8 years ago
Excelente vino, con gran estructura y cuerpo. Importado por Plaza Cellars. — 8 years ago
Oh what a 2+ hour decant will do. This sings much clearer. High toned, but integrated tannins, crushed red fruits & that amazing volcanic thread, and, made by a woman vintner- thus better. I hope I can age a few of these. — 8 years ago
" The mix balance is freshness and depth. It opens with vivid aromas of blackberries, violets and licorice. The pallet is fleshly and rounded with a long and elegant finish" — 6 months ago

Wonderful nose & velvety flavor. Smooth, hood but not too sweet. Delicious…love it — 3 years ago
Relaxing and subtle summer wine. A little watery in a refreshing way, doesn’t get me hungover, a good daytime functioning wine. The bottle is pretty for a dinner party 💕 — 4 years ago

There really is something about island wines. We seem to have an affinity to them all—Madeira, Corsica, Sicily...and here we with are with Canary sack. Red, actually, with terrific poise, balance, and expression of terroir. Double decanted and enjoyed on the second day. Funky nose, with some sweet fruit mixed in. Peppery palate, wet stone, easy fruit, and great acidity. Another winner. — 7 years ago

Very nice. 2013. — 8 years ago
A sister property of the more well-known Tinto Pesquera, this small production 100% Tempranillo is a stunner. Captivating aromas of black tea leaf, roasted coffee beans, dark chocolate, Chinese herbal tea, vanilla, and a bit barnyard infuse the core of ripe black fruits. The palate is vibrant and smooth with silky but still a bit firm tannins, with fig-like sweet undertone, leading to a long, spicy finish... did I mentioned the nose? So deep, warm, and complex! A gem. — 8 years ago

Sweet American oak, beautiful mature red-fruited Tempranillo, soft tannins, a little less acid than I remember in the 1980s/1990s vintages of this “regular” Pesquera Tinto, long, lingering finish, I’d guess this is mature and ready to drink!! — 2 months ago
