Deep purple in color; cassis, black cherries, and graphite on the nose; medium minus acidity; high tannins; tastes like black currants, blackberries, and eucalyptus with a long finish. β 7 months ago
That nose, like cherry jolly ranchers mixed with crushed stones and tree bark. Orange peels. Almost Tamarind paste. Burgundian, but as so many have said, very Germanic. This, opening a β19 could be infanticide, but rewards are apparent. After driving to and fro for 4 hrs. Through early changing leaves it feels perfect. And on the palate itβs as if weightless, expansive, brown-and red fruit commingling. Tart, but mouthwatering so, not prickly or tannic.
Delightful wine.
