Black & blue fruit, cool, ripe yet with nice tartness & restraint and an earthy undertone.
Better on the palate with great balance between the cool yet sweet fruit, the quite present tannins and the juicy acidity. Everything comes beautifully together.
A typical, picture book Douro red.

Had it with friends. Dark rubi robe, nose of blackcurrant, spices and cherries. Very powerful and also elegant, this is great now but has lots of potential, say 5 to 7 years. We liked it a great deal and are looking to buy. — 2 years ago
