Last had this vintage a couple years ago. These obviously have a long life ahead of them. With some nice air, this does open up. Wonderful dark fruit and earth aromas. Tannins are quite present and a bit bitter (not in a bad way at all). Excellent acid on the finish. Delicious pairing with kinderhook pork chops with tutto porchetta seasoning. — 3 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of 90 minutes. The 2012 pours a deep ruby/purple with a near opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of Montmorency cherry, blackberry, dill, toasted coconut, olive, zatar, and a touch of vanilla. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. This only got better with air and might be my favorite young Tondonia since I first drank the 2006 vintage. Really good stuff already! Drink now with some patience and through 2042. — 7 months ago
Deep purple in color with a purplish rim.
Strong nose of black fruits with oak, earth and chocolate notes.
Full bodied and soft, with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with black cherries, black plums, currants, oak, licorice, earth, light vegetables, herbs, dark chocolates and peppercorn.
Medium on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This young Syrah from Red Mountain is starting to drink very nicely. Rich, elegant and fruit forward. Complex with a soft mouthfeel.
Needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years and see how it evolves.
This Single Vineyard Syrah is powerful, yet elegant. Soft, spicy and smooth. Good by itself or with food.
100% Syrah grapes were aged in (50% new) French and American Oak barrels for 18 months. Unfiltered and Biodynamic. A tiny production of less than 1,500 bottles.
13.5% alcohol by volume.

Always excellent. Young but beautiful with an hour of air — 6 months ago
First time trying this wine having some how missed it for years. Found it very acidic and lithe. Improved vastly with time and air but still a little lacking. Nice cherry taste. — 8 months ago
Blend of Merlot (70%), Cabernet Sauvignon (15%) and Cabernet Franc (15%). Dark ruby color with a garnet rim. Aromas of dark berry fruit, violets, wood smoke and leather. Blackberry, black plum, black currant fruit flavors with a distinct note of dark chocolate. Hint of black pepper spice on the long and earthy finish. Chewy tannins and a big hit of acidity, which will probably tone down with more bottle age. Needs a bit more rest. Thanks for sharing, Keith S! — 2 months ago
Last bottle. Time to drink is now, don’t think this will improve from here. Needed a bit of air to come together, but overall remained somewhat muted. — 4 months ago
Really nice St. Emilion satellite wine. After 30 min the palate is ripe with red and black fruit and vegetation. The tannic bite on the back end is soft and smooth. Great QPR — 7 months ago

Maturing beautifully with menthol, cigar leaf, spearmint and blackberry preserve. (Too) easy drinking. — 9 days ago
