Lovely clean and refreshing Gamay fruit, still quite youthful, balanced, medium-long finish, very good!!
As an aside, we also tried a 2010 Cote de Brouilly from Domaine de Chavannes that was surprisingly fresh and lively at age 15, say an 8.7!! — 7 months ago
Another very nice ‘22 Bojo. I am in the process of revising upward my view of the ‘22 vintage there. Nose is very exuberant, with pure and zingy black cherry fruit, verging into purple berry territory, and nose-tingly granitic rock dust. There is also a dusting of baking spice. In the mouth it has nice concentration, ripe but zingy fruit, integrated minerality. Acids are surprisingly crisp. I expect this to integrate and be better in a year or two. But really nice now as well. — 10 months ago

Very nice Beaujolais. — 24 days ago
Solid Cru Beaujolais. Medium garnet color. Bright aromas of ripe red and black cherries, earth and violets. Expressive flavors of red and black cherry/raspberry/currant fruit, tobacco and a pleasant hint of baking spices. A bit of black pepper and the presence of stemmy carbonic maceration on the very long and tingly finish. Quite juicy and crisp. Fruit forward, nicely structured and pretty well balanced. — 2 months ago

Brilliant garnet color. Aromas of black and blue fruit, spices and vanilla. Flavors of black cherry, blackberry, blueberry, light pepper spice and that vanilla. Light hint of oak on the long finish. Medium-plus body and solid structure and richness. Noticeable tannins and a bit of heft. Could age for at least another five years. — 24 days ago
