Château La Rose St Georges

Domaine Henri Gouges

Les Chênes Carteaux Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2021

2021 vintage. Decanted and tasted after 45 minutes. Spicy, full nose with suggestions of power. Spices coming through in the flavors with this showing a medium-heavy body currently. Some great orange peel/zest in there as well. Intense and needing 3-5 years to loosen the death grip on your palate slightly. Can see this bumping up to a 9.4 in those next 3-5 years. 6.13.24. — 22 days ago

Clos de la Maréchale Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2015

A wine I have purchased every year since the 05 vintage. This vintage is more open, approachable that had rich dark cherry, berry fruit, savory spice, underbrush, mineral & violet. — a month ago

Les Pruliers Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Pinot Noir

Good fruit intensity but a bit sunny, leaves out some of the potential nuance — 13 days ago

Domaine de Montille

Aux Thorey Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2017

Medium dark rubi robe, nose of crushed flowers, asian spices and a hint of dark cherries. Very round and velvety in the mouth, good length, a fine modern pinot that pleases those who prefer a more classical style as well. — 2 months ago

Domaine Mugneret-Gibourg

Les Chaignots Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2008

Love the vintage for the Domaine. Provides the perfect balance of freshness, acid and minerality, none of which overwhelming the pure, vivid, spiced fruit character, and as always, showing more Vosne than NSG which is just how I like it. Beautiful showing. Opened 5 hours ahead! — a month ago

Domaine Robert Chevillon

Les Perrières Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2002

Old school burg! Love this vintage. 02 Perrieres is showing beautifully tonight, red fruited, elegant and seductive, descriptors I wouldn’t say I typically associate with NSG. A lengthy slow ox has it wafting from the glass with dried raspberry, brown spices, game bird, forest leaves and a liquid rock minerality. The palate shows impressive power and concentration with melting tannins and a persistent mineral inflicted finish. At peak but should hold through 2029. — a month ago
