Another great wine from 10:1 — 5 months ago
Another great btl from the master of SJ. This had palate staining concentration , balanced with beautiful aromatics of black cherry, berry fruit, sweet & savory spice, graphite, licorice, meat, iron & violets. — 8 months ago
Valle d’Aosta Nebbiolo (called Picotendro). Made from slightly dried grapes. Light ruby color. Aromas of cherry, plums and brambly herbs. More black fruits on the pallet along with hints of tobacco, coffee, dark chocolate and pepper spice. Nice mild oaky note on the extremely long finish. Bold, yet the tannins are in check from the bottle age. Well structured with well balanced acidity. Excellent quality. Thank you for finding this one, Ron B! — a year ago
I was very interested in this wine because I had always associated Saint Aubin with the Chardonnay grape vs the Pinot Noir grape. I really like this wine. It was on the lighter and brighter side but was very drinkable and delicious. Before I knew it, I was enjoying my third glass (oops!). I was home so there was no problem. I think the guys at crush pushed the wine (politely), I bought two bottles and I’m glad I did. I’d recommend trying this red St Aubin for yourself. Delightful. Enjoy! — 8 months ago
The greenness of the vintage shows through but it was still enjoyable—maybe slightly past peak. — 7 months ago
Citrus aroma, Grapefruit, Lemon. Crispy. Rich, a bit similar with Japanese sake. Salty. Good match with Japanese food. 2019 @1700, Kping- Kkami. 230629-230630 — a year ago
