Zin sounded right on this cool, rainy day. Totally rewriting my review after an hour. A big whiff of sour fruit (not bad). Thinner mouthfeel than i expected. The taste is dried fruits: prune, dates, apricot. Chocolate, licorice, sweet things. There in an odd charred element, a bit like pipe tobacco but burned. Not terribly off putting, but I do think it's getting tired. 11 years! @Doug Powers That's like senior citizen old!

I am consistently amazed at the Syrah’s from #SSCO The same grape grown just a few hundred yards apart from one another is so diffefrlm one another. Citizen from the Fatman is rich & lucious like a ballad from your favorite rock group. — 6 years ago

This wine has peaked but is a healthy senior citizen Obvious sweet black fruit. The tannins and oak have faded in the background making this soft and luscious without any hard edges. — 6 years ago
