Dog Point Vineyard combines experience of Ivan and Margaret Sutherland & James and Wendy Healy. Ivan and James met while working at Cloudy Bay Vineyards. Light straw with typical SB aromas adding a touch of floral mineral notes. On the palate flavors of melon and grapefruit with citrus and honeysuckle notes, generous acidity, great mouthfeel with long finish ending with a salty spice character. Had this in 2015, why I opened so soon 🤷🏼‍♂️? Rookie mistake. The extra 10 years has made a huge difference. It has the stuffing for another decade at least.

@Doug Powers If you get a chance try their top Cuvée - the Langi. One of our best Shiraz I think.

@Bob McDonald, when we visited there in November of 2023, I purchased a couple bottles of the Langhi, Mast and another Shiraz cuvée. Letting them rest a bit in the cellar.
