E molto buono. Vogliamo prendere di nuovo. L’ho trovato all’enoteca di Chambers Vini. E rotondo generalmemte, abbiamo sentito il gusto crudo. E come i vini della spina in Puglia. — 7 years ago
Thick, sweet, syrupy nectar with a touch of walnut and a hint of pepper (from the Semillon). Beautiful amber color. A nice complement to hamachi crudo. — 8 years ago
Tasted the 2016 on 5/3/18 at Rigamarole in Paris.
On the nose: baking spice, orange peel, lemon jest, baked pear, mandarin orange, red apple. Very fresh on the palate, lemony and rich, great balance. A smooth and bright pairing to oysters with black garlic oil and with the scallop crudo. — 8 years ago

Enjoyed as pairing to first course of scallop crudo @ Sepia in Chicago on 11.03.2017 — 9 years ago
Lovely orange wine from Tuscany! High acid light tannins. Amazing by it self but I’d pair it with a citrus tuna crudo — 3 months ago
Beautiful nose of almost a Riesling but the perfect minerality for the paccheri with stracciatella e tonno crudo. The butter mouth feel and mineral spices finish were enough to have me searching for this back home. — 7 months ago
Crisp, dry, tart and not sweet, pared well with both fresh crudo and wood fire grilled whitefish — a year ago
Ritche vineyard chardonnay.
Pop and pour. A light golden color. On the nose: subtle notes of lemon, apricot, nutty vanilla. Taste: orange peel, lemon, honey, vanilla toast with a medium finish and medium plus acidity keeping it crisp and fresh.
Enjoying with the fresh Langoustines, red shrimp, and raw crudo!

A light easy every day white drinker from a great Sicilian producer. Beautiful light golden color, fruity notes of peach and sweet herbs on the nose. Similar palate of stone fruit and pear, lilting acidity and moderate length. Almost all Catarratto, with a few field blend varietals. Excellent with tuna crudo, basil, and red onion granita. — 8 years ago
Paolo Bea dinner at Semo. All wines were prepared by opening and slow-ox, prior to service. Abbreviated notes due to the setting. The 2020 Lapideus pours a hazy straw color with notes of undigested hay, black lemon, Brachs butterscotch, white and yellow flowers, and some tarragon. The palate shows low+ tannin and acid works well with the halibut crudo. Drink now through 2035. Bottle No. 800/2610 — 5 months ago
Light floral notes, smooth, creamy, silky, and balanced. Slight citrus tartness that pairs well with oysters and crudo and weighty enough to complement a heavier lemony roasted white fish (we paired it with sea bream). — a year ago
Love it- eating with bison sausage; Penticton, BC with Pierre — 6 years ago
Passionfruit nose. Sweet with a flinty finish. Excellent with albacore tuna crudo. — 7 years ago
Chilled to the recommended 64F and enjoyed with pasta crudo. Refreshing, smooth and well balanced. — 8 years ago

Grace Koshu 2023 – Yamanashi GI, Japan 🇯🇵
Overview
Produced from 100% Koshu, Japan’s signature indigenous white grape, this wine is fermented and aged entirely in stainless steel to preserve purity and transparency. Grown in the elevated vineyards of Katsunuma, Yamanashi, it beautifully expresses the restrained elegance that has made Grace Wine an international benchmark for Japanese fine wine.
Aromas & Flavors
Yuzu, lemon peel, green apple, white peach, Asian pear, and delicate white flowers lead into subtle mineral notes with hints of wet stone and citrus zest. Delicate rather than aromatic, everything is driven by finesse.
Mouthfeel
Light to medium-bodied with vibrant acidity, a steely mineral backbone, and exceptional precision. The texture recalls the purity of Chablis with a subtle sake-like silkiness, finishing remarkably clean, refreshing, and focused.
Food Pairings
Sashimi, sushi, crudo, oysters, grilled white fish, tempura, steamed shellfish, or lightly seasoned Japanese cuisine.
Verdict
An elegant expression of Japan’s flagship white grape that prioritizes freshness, balance, and precision over power. Refined, mineral-driven, and wonderfully food-friendly, it stands comfortably among the world’s finest delicate white wines.
Did You Know?
Koshu has been cultivated in Japan for nearly 1,000 years and is believed to descend from ancient grapes that traveled along the Silk Road before adapting to Japan’s humid climate. Today, Yamanashi is considered the spiritual home of premium Koshu wines.
🍷 Personal Pick
One of the purest and most distinctive white wines I’ve experienced. Its combination of crystalline freshness, mineral precision, and understated elegance makes it a benchmark not only for Japanese wine, but for delicate, terroir-driven whites anywhere in the world. It has earned a permanent place among my favorite food wines. — an hour ago
