Absolutely delicious nose,
Ripe yet unsweet blackberry and Eucalyptus -
This carries on through the big bodied wine, focused laser like beginning to end red cab fruits, that mint wood finish and long lingering acidity.
I haven’t had this since I was at the winery in 2015. So good! — 3 years ago
Выпито 19.10.24 в замечательном мясном ресторане Spit jack с Саввасом и Джозефом. Очень неплохой бленд Мерло, Каберне фран и местного греческого винограда агиоргитико 2021 года. — 7 months ago
Wine club release from York Creek. Less brawny than Barnett’s main releases (Cyrus Ryan and Rattlesnake). Mountain fruit (albeit a little less fruit forward) with some nice spice notes and good structure — 4 years ago

I was given the responsibility of opening and serving this bottle to the guests of a 40th birthday celebration. From double-magnum. Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple of hours. The 2005 pours a deep garnet color with a near opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears and signs of significant sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous, with notes of ripe and slightly desiccated fruit: cassis, blackberry, black plum, tobacco, leather, Pablano pepper, vanilla, earth, and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin (that is mostly integrated) and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. This wine, from this format is in a really lovely spot. Drink now through 2035. — 2 days ago
