Nose of red fruits, black cherries, white flowers, mild black pepper, smooth oak. Flavors of ripe cherries, black pepper, vanilla and black currant. Soft tannins. — 2 months ago
Sh-t. I mean. This starts inconspicuous but becomes more energetic with each day open. Coiled acid and melting taffy. Aching red fruit; dripping, swirling mineral dust. Subtly sweet, then unexpectedly dry, with a powdery texture. Worthy parallel to eg bandol rose, but even more acid. — 4 months ago

2005 vintage. Old-school chunky St. Emmie. Decanted and tasted after 30 mins and one hour. Medium-heavy bod. Slightly dirty finish. Nice concentration on that back-end and should hold up in this capacity for another decade. — 12 days ago
