vintage 2022 | Finally! Le Puy has been on my bucketlist for years. Icon of nature wines. Winemaking with little or non interventions. Right bank Bordeaux. It is a wonderful wine, 22 is drinking fine now. Cassis, leather, clove and laurel. Warmth. Fine structure. It made my dinner with steak frites. At restaurant Amsterdam in Amsterdam. — 4 months ago
Really nice light Pinot Noir, mated well with the tuna and Mac and cheese entrees. — 2 years ago
Though it’s very difficult for me to find a reasonably-priced Bordeaux I actually like, this is one. Bright nose shows dark cherry, cedar shavings, gravel, and a deep woodsy scent. Good cherry-centric fruit, loads of acidity, and a very bright mouthfeel. The acids feel almost like the bright, accentuated acids I associate with Paso Robles limestone soil. Not particularly long or complex in the mouth, but resonates more on the *fun* scale. — 5 years ago
Dry and bold with a lingering finish. Oak, tart cherries, and a hint of something that reminds me of really good olive brine. — 6 years ago
Oak and blackberry. Rich but pleasant. Bought at JAL Mall for ¥9,500. — 4 days ago

Very nice & good QPR blend. Merlot 70%. Ripe fruit, blackberry, tea, licorice. 1 hour decant. Organic+. — 4 months ago
Second wine of classed growth Grand-Puy Ducasse. Blend 50/50 Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, has Merlot that did not make the cut for the top wine. Deep Ruby red color, with aromas of ripe dark fruits, spice and herbs. On the palate flavors of blackberry, plum and cinnamon spice. Fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, smoky spice and earthy mineral character. Good now! — 7 months ago
Really great value St Emillion, opened up after about an hour and a half and drank super well. Balanced and rich while still acidic enough to keep it from being flabby. Real nice! — 2 years ago
Black cherries, smooth, vanilla. Light on tongue — 6 years ago
Fruit forward and flavors of Cab but smooth like a merlot. Nice combo! — 6 years ago

Still catching up from two weeks ago. Well wasn’t this quite the joy! Slightly shy upon opening, with more red fruit on the palate. Developed considerably in the glass and bottle, filling out with black fruit and a tight, beautiful tannin core. Seems in a great place right now but with years ahead of it. — 10 days ago
