Lovely tropical fruit notes, with butter, sultana raisins orange juice, lime and mocca coffee. Drinks like a 2003 rather than a 2013. — 7 years ago
Stunning, lifted nose of violets, blackberry, red fruit, florals and a little barbecue-sauce savoriness, almost Côte-Rôtie-like in perfume. The palate is juicy, elegant and nicely mature, with good texture and freshness, but it lacks the excitement and precision of Sylvain Gauthier’s later wines. Unfortunately, there is also a touch of heat on the finish that I cannot get past. Beautiful aromatics, solid wine, but the palate keeps it at 9.3. — 3 months ago
Aged in Stockinger barrels. Spicy, with a touch of wood and cake spices. No sulfites. Juicy, clean and remarkably pure, with gras texture balanced by freshness. Gentle, delicate, deep and explosive all at once. — 4 months ago

The 2015 BDX continue to amaze and this Fronsac fits the bill. No decanting necessary. Jumping out of the bottle with beautiful red fruit and cassis notes, silky, and nicely balanced and integrated tannins, at such a young age, I am amazed. Feels like drinking a Grand Cru from a slightly lesser vintage. Great value too. If I can find it, I’ll buy a case. Hopefully two. — 6 years ago
[En Magnum] Lovely, fresh, crisp, old school Bordeaux from the family who were the cellar masters of Chateau Palmer back during this time frame, 12% ABV, perfumed, violets, soft, plummy fruit, great acidity, longish finish, this wine is about subtlety, not power, excellent!! — 4 months ago

Double decanted to get rid of a fair amount of sediment. Deeply earthy nose with tiny pungent mountain berry fruit. Sharp roasted herbs too and beef jerky. On the palate, nicely intense flavors and zingy acidity, tannins there but resolving. Lengthy finish. 76% Syrah 24% Grenache Only 13.6% alcohol! From Sonoma County. Aging quite slowly and easily could be confused with a good Northern Rhone Syrah. Serving with braised lamb shanks. — 8 days ago
