Generally not a big fan of cabernet franc, but this was recommended to me as an especially good example. Glad I tried it. Not heavy, but distinct notes of fruit and earth/leather. Clear, deep ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced primary and secondary aromas of cassis, cedar, and graphite on the nose; on the palate, it's dry with high acidity, high tannins, high alcohol, full body, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of blackberries, black cherries, eucalyptus, and wet gravel with a medium finish. This wine is intense and complex, but a little too tannic and bitter for the amount of fruit (it probably needs more age, or more time in the decanter). After 30 minutes in a decanter, this wine is much more balanced and well integrated. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. — 10 months ago

Tamber Bey . 2018. Cabernet sauvignon. Yountville - Napa Valley. My new favorite vineyard in California. I have spent hundreds of dollars trying to find a good California cab. And when I say hundreds I mean hundreds. Finally!!!!!!!! This is the third bottle and they have all held true over the past six months. It’s not tart it’s not sour and has no crazy aftertaste. Just DANG good cab! Instead of describing what it is I’m going to describe what it’s not . Basically everything we don’t like in a wine is not here!!!!!! Only one more word: BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I promise you will not regret this purchase! — 5 years ago
