Quite lovely. Berry fruit with some spice, lovely Lingering finish. Light tannins. — a month ago
At RL very nice. A bit meaty — 3 months ago
The 2018 “Clos de la Roche” pours a deep ruby/purple color with medium viscosity and light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is youthful and shows a combination of tart and ripe red and dark fruits: raspberry, strawberry, blackberry, pepper, exotic spices, minerals and some fine wood. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. This has an overall character of freshness and the fruit is so beautiful…but this is such a baby. While it shows its quality now, I won’t touch my next bottle for another 10 years. Better after 2035 (to my palate) and through 2058. — 6 months ago
Mineral and flint nose w a hint of lemon. Lemon flavors, broad on the palette w long finish. Very enjoyable — 6 days ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. No formal notes due to the setting but I’m pleased to report that the 2018 “Très Girard” is positively delightful at this stage of its evolution. Still developing, there is a pleasant mix of dark and red fruit with earth and spice and enough structure to gracefully continue its evolution over the next 10 to 15 years. Drink now through 2038. — 2 months ago
Fruity aroma, hint of spice and oak, light and frothy, smooth enough to pair nicely with lobster! — 5 months ago
Took 30 min in glass to open up and show its stuff but nice lifted nose and decent grip on the finish. Liked it better than 2012 Littorai Savoy tasted alongside. — 9 days ago
