Good minerality - wet stone, like many PYCM wines particularly from Saint Aubin, yellow fruits and citrus. 60 year old vines. Warmer site than Champlots. Looking at previous Delectable Notes for 2017 and 2015 for this Cuvée, the tasting notes are similar. — a month ago

Medium ruby with a medium garnet rim . Touch more sweetness on the nose , with rose , ripe cherry , red plum , raspberry , blood orange and some slightly toasty notes . On the palate this is juicy and quite sweet fruit profiled with raspberry, strawberry, quite fruit dominated . Rounded but noticeable tannins , fresh vibrant acidity and decent length . This is quite young, certainly compared to the Malconsorts , pretty sweet fruit , but overall well balanced and probably just needs a little more time . Quite a lot appears to be hidden at the moment , comes across a little one dimensional, but I think it will get there . Come back in 5-8 years, should drink well a further 10, if not more. — 3 months ago

Superb for its humble appellation. Delicate nose needs a little coaxing, but when it comes through it’s got ripe lemon, a little moist limestoney gravel, and a faint hazelnut note. In the mouth it’s a little less shy, with a Meursault-like amalgam of smoky gravel, lemon oil, and dry oatmeal, though in a lighter format. Fantastic acids. Finish is quite lingering. Is it worth $90? Well, if you’re in the mood for PYCM and see it on the shelf, then, yes, you take it home. I was, I saw, I took home.

UPDATE: two hours later, as it warms and breathes, holy cow, what a wine. More of everything. Upping from 9.2 to 9.3. Yes, 9.3 for a Bourgogne Blanc. — 11 days ago

🍇 Pinot Noir plays a lead role in this particular cuvée joined by Chardonnay for extra lift and brightness. The grapes hail from the Premier and Grand Cru villages of Louvois, Chouilly, & Mareuil-sur-Ay.

⚖️ After 36 months aging sur lie, this wine was disgorged and bottled with a “brut” dosage, which melds a soft energy into its steely profile, creating balance and tension.

Rich black cherries, cocoa spice, orange peel, dark flowers, subois and earthy.
Long generous finish with crisp acidity and fine grained tannins.
This was bequeathed to me years ago at a Celebration of Life for a gentleman who was greatly influential and guiding on my wine journey.
A stunning wine from an incredible individual.

2012 vintage. Last tasted 12.27.24 (9.3). Similar notes. Decanted and tasted after 2.5 hours. Super complex with those dark fruits and herbaceous cameos/visits. Really smooth medium/medium heavy body. Not too shabby. 9.5.26. — a month ago
