Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. The 2017 M-S-D Blanc pours a straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with fascinating notes of champagne cake, Comice pear, lemon zest, almond, and limestone earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long; laden with limestone minerals and grippy. Almost as if it is tannic! This is such a distinctive wine. I’m in love. Drink now through 2032. — 16 days ago
Love the way this has developed since 1st trying a few years ago. Lots of lemon curd, white orchid fruit, rich with flint, chalk, wet stone & racy acid — 2 days ago
A Chambolle-Musigny Grand Cru full of all that is good and great when it comes to Pinot. Blackberry, violets, dried roses. Medium bodied, fine grain tannins, balanced acidity, satin texture! Marvelous. — 18 days ago
Another commentator said solid. And I think that is the right word. It is a good fine with a fine nose, but supple and somewhat flat body. Lacking acidity. Ready to drink. — 4 days ago
