Artz Vineyard Cabernet Franc Blend 2010

JKT
9.1

At Fung’s dinner with brothers, Duck, meatballs, and noodles. This was firm yet rounded with diary notes minerals and dart fruits well balanced and good with the 8 Treasure Duck — 4 months ago

Arnaud Ente

Meursault Chardonnay 2015

This bottle was showing less reduction and was a lot more giving from the get-go than the one I had last fall. It shows such incredible layers of stone fruit, citrus, hazelnut and smoky minerals. It continues to gain both volume and focus with air and the palate has amazing texture, weight and such impressive depth for a village wine. Coche and Ente truly do play in a different league. — 4 years ago

Siccagno Nero d'Avola 2016

2021 fall. As always, this is darker with a lower center of gravity than the frappato wines, but well balanced with crunchy acidity — 4 years ago

Morgon Gamay

Always superb. Ripe, juicy cherries on the verge of jammy but still fantastic freshness. Pink flowers and some minerality buzzing around the mid palate as well. Began to fall apart after an hour or two but still, hits every single time. — 3 years ago

Dow's

Late Bottled Vintage Porto 2015

Fall is here and it’s the season I love to drink port. Dow, producing Ports for over 2 centuries. One of the first to establish its own vineyards, acquiring Senhora da Ribeira, in the remote Upper Douro, in 1890 & Bomfim, in the heart of Alto Douro, in 1896. Aromas of ripe fruits, fragrant spices and sweet notes. On the palate flavors of candied apple and jammy blackberries with cacao and honey. Firm dusty tannins, good balance, long finish. Perfect now. — 4 years ago

Bourgogne Chardonnay 2013

Just concluded the annual Fall seclusion at our cabin in the Rangeley lakes region of Maine, mobile service up there is mostly non-existent, after several days I am posting again.
(Notes this year were avoided, but scores are honest.)
