Popped in poured; no formal notes. The 2020 Pithos Rosso is, to my palate, a lovely Sicilian alternative to Beaujolais. Delicious, refreshingly fruity and just a touch wild. Sufficient structure to provide enjoyment for the near term, but I would just as well drink now. I really enjoy these wines.  — a month ago

Clear, deep ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced primary and secondary aromas of black currants, black plums, and cedar. On the palate, it's dry, medium acidity, high tannins, medium alcohol, medium body, and a pronounced intensity of primary and secondary flavors. It tastes like blackberries, eucalyptus, graphite, and black cherries with a long finish. This wine is a little off balanced (the eucalyptus flavor is a little too intense), complex, and intense. 2021. Drove to Omaha to attend an Arnot-Roberts wine class and tasting, and got there early to enjoy some delicious oysters with a bottle of fantastic Chardonnay that wasn’t on the tasting list. Unfortunately, Nathan Roberts flights were delayed and the class was cancelled, but we’re going home with a bunch of tasty wines instead! — a month ago
We had the 2019 Vintage on 7/26-27/25. Nice bouquet and palate of black cherry, strawberry and cardomom. Beautiful mouthfeel. New World. Would easily buy more. Classic tastes and aromas of SLH. — 2 days ago

Almost port-like nose of dried plums or cherries, a little funky and earthy on the palate, some leather and horse blanket mixed with the dried cherry and a medium tannin and pretty bright for a red. Medium body and long finish. Deep garnet hue and was still good chilled. — 5 days ago
