Amazing. High alcohol but really incredible. — 5 months ago
1996 vintage. Excellent aging cork with an above average fill. Not decanted. PNP and tasted immediately. Tannins fairly bowed with the passage of decades but still showing up for the weekly hang. Light-medium body. Slightly sweet intro/startup that quickly sorts into plum, coffee and chocolate notes. This was a bad, bad tannic boy back in the day but is fully reformed now. 03.19.25. — 2 months ago
@Joshua Fisher how's this look, haha. Happy Halloween. — 3 years ago
I’m between a 92-93 here. This was by no means shut down but it was surprisingly tannic and a bit clenched. Poured next to a 2016 Fisher Syrah, this was significantly less pepper driven yet substantially more nimble and vibrant. 100% Grenache and 40% whole cluster (which is definitely evident). Plenty of ripe red fruit up front on the nose with underripe and crunchy black fruits, potpourri, garrigue, and herbal stemminess. Nervy acidity on the palate and while a touch thin on the mid palate, the finish here is quite beefed up with violet, cranberry and black currant wrapped tannins. It’s almost juicy, yet an herbal flair keeps it balanced. Enjoyed at pop and pour, I’d decant at least an hour if opening now. — 4 years ago
Smooth like silk. Still have red fruit up front with cocoa and tobacco notes and some minerality. Long finish. Great wine — 3 months ago
Drank this way too early but still enjoyable. Would have liked to have the addition of another Bordeaux grape but the Petite Verdot balanced out the Sauvignon nicely. Would recommend aging for another 5 to 10 years. — 8 months ago
It was lovely. Drank it at The Source Hotel Woods Restaurant. — 4 years ago
