Medium deep ruby , garnet . Quite rich and deep fruits , with some dusty herbal elements . On the palate also quiet ripe and rich , sweetly fruited . Dark cherry , with some summer fruits , blackberry . Good balance however , with sweet tannin and balanced acidity . Still showing lots of fruit , but drinking now but can can last well , probably improve over the next 5 years or so . — 6 days ago

Mid gold in colour. Aromatics of yellow peach and honeyed notes. No traces of petro chemical. Medium plus intensity of stone fruit and mineral on the palate. Great depth. One of the top Rieslings in Alsace and showing it in spades. A beautiful Riesling and probably at its peak. Will stay on this plateau through the 2020’s. Interestingly about 25% went through malolactic so this is a different style from the usual Cuvée Frederic Emile. Very fresh for a 14 year old Riesling but remaining fleshy and M plus bodied. — 4 months ago

Had a bottle at Rosso Rubino in Montepulciano!!! This was excellent!!! Especially considering it’s not a Riserva. Aromas of dark cherry, tobacco, and earth. Very smooth with a long finish. Highly recommend Rubino Rosso for dinner. We ate there twice during our stay and both experiences were perfect. — 6 months ago

Pale yellow in color; lemon zest, honeysuckle, and lemon grass on the nose; high acidity; tastes like lemons, starfruit, saline, and a hint of passion fruit with a long finish. Leo likes it, and I do too. — 5 months ago

. Wow. An unusual dark berry with subtle Indian spice that is both bold and elegance emerges to win the day. This 1er Cru is just entering a nice drinking window and could rest another 30 years. Lovely juice. — 6 months ago
