Anthonij Rupert

Optima Franschhoek Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2020

Deep, fruity blackberries well rounded noticeable tanins. Labeled online as a cab sauv blend. Almost shiraz-y to me. So good when young, wonder how the aged ones would be. — 11 days ago

Porcupine Ridge Sauvignon Blanc 2022

Love the lemongrass taste from this Sauvignon Blanc, perfect with a crisp and zesty finish. — 10 months ago

Anthonij Rupert

Franschhoek Valley Syrah 2015

Allright! My one thousandth posted wine on Delectable. And just the right occasion to do so. We are sitting here in a tent in the middle of the bush of South Africa sipping a Shiraz of Anthonij Rupert from Stellenbosch. Fresh, uplifting Shiraz that drinks more like a cool climate Syrah. Strong oak tannins fighting with the dry red cherry, fig fruit. Cheers!!! Up to the next thousand…. Wow what was that sound 😳 — 2 years ago

The Huguenot Chenin Blanc 2022

Sa chenin.
Feels a bit of a product.

Some tropics, 🍑, 🍏 grapefruit and some vanilla.

Full body.
Medium + acidity.

Long 🎯 with a backbone of bitterness

Really Improved pasta with NYT 'all purpose green sauce' and gauda with truffles cheese grated on top.

All in all nice in the evening.
Not so good the next day.

Cap Classique Brut Reserve White Blend

Toasted nuts and biscuits. Not much nose. Rich, fills the mouth with toasted honey and floral notes. — 2 years ago

Rickety Bridge

Foundation Stone Red Blend 2015

This is a nice “easy-to-drink” wine! Soft enough for almost any pallet yet pairs with so many things: burgers, red meat, cheese, fruit, or just sip! — a year ago
