Very nice, really enjoyed. Was a smooth wine with an almost port taste to it. Would happily have again — 2 months ago
Medium deep ruby garnet core and garnet rim. Sweet plummy fruit , touch of spice and vanilla , violets . On the palate round and ripe with plum , damson , dark cherry and black tea hints . Balanced acidity , quite rounded tannins , touch of warmth on the anis tinged finish . This is firmly in its drinking window and shows it can stay at this level for a while longer , now and over the next 5 years. — 4 months ago
Very nice smooth wine, vanilla notes and a slighty spice on the length — 2 months ago
At my Chardonnay Challenge of 6 wines with very close scores the Heytesbury finished 6th. I still gave it 95 points and a Gold Medal. HH said “powerful grapefruit and citrus - Gingin/Mendoza clones and 97 points “. A semi regular annual purchase for me. — 4 months ago

This is the 2nd rated Vasse Felix Chardonnay behind the world class Heytesbury and ahead of the amazing value Filius. This was my last 2017 having made no notes for the first two. Expresses everything which is great about Margaret River Chardonnay. Complexity without cost. Ripe grapefruit with a balanced creamy French oak note which is largely integrated at 7 years of age. More citrus than stone fruit - a little nectarine? Great QPR at $31 AUD. — a month ago
