OMG - Bordeaux from Margaux - amazing fruit, beautiful mid palette and amazing finish that includes tobacco, cassis and a hint of olive / artichoke heart. Beautiful even a few years after its prime. Not surprising with Bordeaux in general, but good years definitely do shine!! — 9 months ago
I haven’t had this wine since the late 2000’s.
As good as I remember it.

Smooth. Good all rounder, you couldn’t be offended by it — 3 years ago
Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. This estate owes its name to Connetable Talbot, the English general & governor of the province of Guyenne who was defeated at the famous Battle of Castillon in 1453. Deep Ruby, purple hues, with aromas of black fruits, herb, tobacco and earthy notes. On the palate flavors of plums and black currants with cacao and tobacco spice, on a well balanced frame. Fine tight tannins, long finish ending with fruit, earthy spice and cedar character. Nice! — 7 months ago
After finding Australian cabs so and so, I am pivoting back to Shiraz. That’s where AUS shines, and this wine is a great example. Deep and intense flavors, structure and a long finish. Delicious. — a year ago
Gifted this by my client Helen for Christmas — 3 years ago

2012 vintage. Heavy/full body. Aggressively-oaked nose (still...after a decade+). Dark as motor oil. Plenty of ripe fruits with the entire endeavor in (somewhat) check. Some tannins bringing up the rear after the call was placed. Not amongst my usual jams but well made. Punch/takeoff for another two decades should it come to that. 4.21.24. — 5 months ago
