More residual sugar than I expected, and also quite a bit of wood… cedar/oak. Blind tasted it and confused it with a California Chardonnay… — 3 years ago
Ok. Not super convincing but good. — 2 months ago
Oh yes. Finally got that one across my tongue. — 4 months ago
2019 vintage, thoroughly enjoyed March, 2024. Love the essence of butter and honey, this wine is complex and lingers. The bouquet reminds me of sitting in a field of prairie flowers. — 10 months ago
The last vintage from the master Gerard Potel and what a lovely bottle it was. Fresh, elegant, floral and perfectly mature, though with plenty of life left, and the perfect balance of tertiary expression and fruit purity. Pousse d’or with age rarely disappoints. — 3 years ago
Fully expected this to be great. Fully correct. — 4 months ago
NOSE: chocolate, cooked meat, dark berries, honeycomb, stone and minerals. But all pretty restrained.
TASTE: horse, straw, BBQ, minerals (metals), charcoal, dark berries (but not a lot). BTW, that isn’t meant to be a recipe. Heavy tannin, but smooth. I do not care for the BBQ/smoke profile in wine, but this is very, very good. I imagine this could (should) age for a long time. As you’d expect, gets better with air …94… — 2 years ago

Lovely Cote Rotie even if unremarkable. Some good dark fruit followed by a spicy finish. Correct but nothing special. — 2 months ago
