Fresh mowed grass on the nose. Great balance. Excellent. — a year ago
Yesterday for the 4th of July we opened the 2019 Clos du Val Cabernet Sauvignon. From Napa, California Napa Valley.
On the nose there was black cherry, blackberry, plum sauce, black currant, spice, graphite and earth.
On the palate there is a black cherry, blackberry, plum, black currant, chocolate, spice, green bell pepper, toasty oak and earth.
This is a full bodied wine with a smooth mouthfeel medium + acidity and medium + grippy tannins that leaves you with a long dark fruit graphite finish. I hope everyone had a blessed 4th of July enjoying family and friends. Please have a wonderful week ahead and stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 2 years ago
Tart grapefruit nose and a sweet green apple finish. First time trying Verdejo, won’t be my last! — 5 years ago
Very dry and not interesting, but very drinkable and elegant: a stone or minerals, green apple. It's a wine for a hot day. — 6 months ago
Color of light tea. Nose is nice, full of ripe tropical fruits, mango, banana, and pineapple, ample fragrance. Taste follows the nose with addition of rind and spice, some mineral too. Less sweet than I thought. Crisper than I thought. Aftertaste of some more green apple, clean, medium long. Nice and refreshing. — 2 years ago
Popped and poured; no formal notes. A mix of dark and red fruits with tobacco, earth and spices. The wine is finally matured and drinking very well now. It has lost all of the green tones that were more apparent in its youth. Everything is now fully fleshed out and should continue to drink well for another 5+ years. Really, these are some lovely (and age-able) wines from the Four Corners area of CO.

13.5% ABV Dry farmed, planted 1963. Own-rooted on limestone and decomposed granite. Clear straw colored. Pear & green apple. Thirst quenching acidity. Very nice. — 8 months ago
This was one of the first Pet Nats that had years ago and it still hits. Love everything Michael Cruz does. This sparkling Valdigue is easy drinking with still awesome complexity. Nose of rose and strawberry. Notes of rose hip, camomile, and bright green apple. First wine in the new house in NOLA. — 2 years ago
Green fig, pomegranate, pepper. Lightly tannic. Drank on a cool night in Asheville at Bottle Riot. — 3 years ago

I get green Granny Smith apples on the nose. But banana, coconut, cocoa on the tongue. — 13 days ago
