Really impressive on opening. Tastes like a Pinot noir should. Cherries, rose, a bit of fern like hiking in CA redwood grove, there’s some strawberry, some dust, plum skin. Interestingly the aftertaste, maybe 20 seconds later suddenly has a sweetness to it that I really enjoy. Drinking really well now on opening. Grateful to try this. — 2 days ago

A dark yellow - pale gold. See previous Delectable note from 145 weeks ago - this is most impressive. Aromatics of fruit salad, quince and herbs. A mouthful of flavour with fruit salad - quite tropical. Very different to the Chenin Blanc I had recently from the Loire Valley. This is advanced in its drinking window but still with a moreish refreshing acid finish. Chenin Blanc - an unsung hero from New Zealand. One of the 1001 wines. — 4 months ago
