Young cherry fruit. Very bright and young. Early season cherries. — 2 years ago
Dark ruby with notes of dark cherries, forest floor, and plum. On the bud, cherries and stewed fruits. Nicely balanced and smooth long finish. Great from the restaurant balcony at Le Vecchie Mura in San Gimignano!!! — a month ago
Crazy nose. Hints of dried apricots. Yellow flowers. Rich. Deep.
Palate is stunning. Elegantly rich. Dried apricots. Mineral. Saturating. Salty a bit. Silky. Hints of honey. Some glycerol.
Long finish.
Really a unique wine. Almost hints of very good sherry notes but in a good way.
This is a wine you want a case of in the cellar.

Another good (and underrated) wine from an unheralded varietal (also known as Uva di Troia) from the Puglia region of Italy. Dark purple color with ruby highlights. Concentrated nose and pallet of red/black berries and spices. Earthy hints of prunes, dates and figs. Silky tannins. Plush, concentrated, vibrant and bright. — 2 years ago

Deep Ruby with aromas of black fruit and pepper, mostly Sangiovese with small amounts of Colorino and Canaiolo. On the palate flavors of black cherry and blackberry fruit with pepper spice and floral notes. Bold muscular tannins, medium finish ending with fruit, cacao and spice. Drink now! Enjoy with baked balsamic glaze chicken thighs. — 9 months ago
100% Aglianico. Dark ruby/purple color. Aromas and flavors of plum, black cherry, tobacco, dark chocolate, graphite and freshly turned soil. Touch of pepper spice on the finish. Bright acidity and very firm tannins. Bone dry. Best with food. Give this one a decant. — a year ago

Deep dark cherry on the nose, nice mineral-flecked gravel notes. A little tight initially on the palate, it opens slowly to reveal deep savory/dark fruit. Medium low acids, tannins hidden in the deep wash of fruit. Very nice over the next few years. — 13 days ago
