Tastes like cru beaujolais but with a little punk rock attitude - always love how olivier delivers the brett & barnyard in the best way possible — 2 years ago
Terroir virtual class “We Love Punk Rock” wine choice — 6 years ago
I’m a big huge mega fan of Ochota. This wine has attitude and sass and carries it all off like...I don’t know maybe it’s the “the forest” name but it is like if goth-punk-pop went royal. All the red things: cherry compote rhubarb stew and some cracked peppercorn and dried branches and bramble and a texture of earth. Love it. — 6 years ago

**My new favorite obsession. Local PA wine. I searched PA Wine and Spirits stores high and low for this wine and no dice. Tracked it down at Wegmans (grocery store) in Williamsport, PAin June of 2018. Worth the wait! I bought two bottles to bring back to the Burgh with me! Quite sweet and had beautiful coloring. — 8 years ago
Blood-brown body forms a xanthic head of ancient candle showing curb-snipe color and death bed neglect. Pumpkins died here ,but were reanimated by caffeine and punk rock. Cappuccino comes through in head tone and cobra manifestation. Slimy toad skin under lacing braces the snakes and wind blown sands above. Strong chicory and chocolate-coffee bean entry creamy just below the leather. Dried chile turns, with the gentle push from a licorice spider leg, into a black mushroom-cinnamon dark roast coffee bean in a cedar spoon. Black pepper peeps through almond eyes. Snare it prepare it and drain it dry.

This a fun one. A little spicy/peppery. — 4 years ago
As a 41 year old bald celibate vegan in Bushwick, I shed one long tear just now thinking back to that summer in 2002 when I was teaching ESL in Osaka and followed the Japanese punk band YuraYura Teikoku in a Volkswagen EuroVan with my then Japanese girlfriend and her semi-erotic manga collection. — 6 years ago
I love this sooooo much — 7 years ago
From ex punk rocker expat Brendan Tracey comes high acid with injections of vinegar and an unexpected soft suppleness. I like this wine more than I expected.
Punchy aromatics of red berries and ferment, but nicely unified. Sour raspberry, red roses, and green stems with a cherry candy finish.
Garage without distortion. — 7 years ago
Punk rock - funky, earthy berries that benefit from aeration — 8 years ago
2019 vintage. Definitely dustier and dirtier than the exquisite, "plushy" 2018 vintage and packing more power. Medium body. Super youthful and would seem to require a solid decade to drop much of the punk attitude. If you like your Saint-Émmies on the tannic side, this be your jam. 8.8.24. — 2 years ago
This is a teenager Cortese that decided to become a punk. But its parents accept the whims of the youth. So the rebelling spirit stays tamed. The bouquet is full of spoiled white plums, soaked white flowers, raw dough, kōcha kinoko, smoke, and pickles. To my taste, it lacks acidity (so not sure what destiny awaits this little rebel). Overall it is complex, multilayered, and even has some delicacy. And all these umami flavours (hello, mr Shiitake)! And the aftertaste of ripe, even baked fruits and pickles. A good find, for sure. — 4 years ago
Una de les meves IPAs preferides, millor en llauna que en ampolla. Fantàstica a tota hora! — 6 years ago
This CM is a punk.
Just had this after a Caymus and it blows it out of the water.
Big. Blackberry. Silky tannins. Complex.
Best Portuguese wine I’ve ever had. — 7 years ago
Powerful, dark wine. The Grenache adds some red fruited aromatics. This is heavy on delicious, but light on complexity which makes sense with the $15 price tag. Need a good pizza wine, here it is. Unwound are one of my favorite punk bands and Numero Group’s reissue of their catalogue a few years ago is a gift. — 7 years ago

B Cellars Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard Cabernet, 2014
Ridiculous fine grained tannins scream for a big bold steak to pair with, but the rest of this wine is like the sleekest steam engine your post-apocalyptic cyber punk fantasies can imagine. Still plenty of that green herbaciousness, red and black fruits and the oak embellishes, but doesn't overpower. Somehow got lucky, and I'm happy for it. — 8 years ago

Lots of cranberry, tang and snap, with a really good creamy mouthfeel. Elegant but not polite, carrying that classic Poulsard back-alley punk rock energy. Light on its feet, bright, savory and full of character. — 6 days ago
